⚠️ PENNSYLVANIA PET TRAVEL ALERT ⚠️


The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has issued a quarantine order related to New World Screwworm.
At this time, dogs and cats originating from Texas and New Mexico cannot be transferred, sold, adopted, or fostered into Pennsylvania until the quarantine is lifted.
• Privately owned dogs returning to Pennsylvania with their owners from affected areas must comply with the Department’s requirements.
• Health certificates (CVIs) originating from affected quarantine areas will be rejected by the PA Department of Agriculture.
• Animals already brought into Pennsylvania in violation of the order may be required to leave the Commonwealth.
If you are planning to travel, relocate, adopt, rescue, or board a pet from these areas, please review the quarantine requirements carefully before making arrangements.
