MRK9 – Training Dogs, Rescuing Lives, Building Community

MRK9 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Bart and Betsy Stevens – the same team behind Marsh Run
Kennels. MRK9 operates its own dedicated training facility, offering professional dog training programs, rescue
services, and community education in the Waynesboro, PA area and throughout the Tri-State region.

Our Mission

MRK9 exists to make professional dog training accessible, to give rescue dogs a second chance, and to educate the
community on responsible dog ownership. With over a decade of experience at Marsh Run Kennels, Bart and Betsy
bring the same care, expertise, and dedication to MRK9’s programs.

Training Programs

Basic Training
A comprehensive foundation program covering obedience, leash manners, and core commands. Perfect for puppies
and adult dogs who need structure and guidance.
Training the Trainer
A unique program designed for dog owners who want to learn how to train their own dogs. We teach you the skills,
techniques, and confidence to continue your dog’s training at home.

Rescue & Community

Beyond training, MRK9 is dedicated to:
